City Of West Frankfort City Council Met Sept. 16.

Here Are The Minutes Provided By The Council:

1. Mayor Arview Called The Meeting To Order At 10:00 A.M. Requesting A Roll Call. All Commissioners Were In Attendance Including The City Clerk.

2. The Mayor And Commissioners Of The City Of West Frankfort Have Called For This Special Meeting At City Hall Located At 605 West Main Street, For Thursday, September 16th 2024 At 10:00 A.M.

3. The Next Item Was Approval Of Agenda For Special Meeting On September 16th, 2024. Mayor Arview Stated I Entertain A Motion To Approve The Agenda. Commissioner Harkins Made A Motion For Approval, Seconded By Commissioner Howard. Roll Call Vote: All Commissioners And Mayor Arview Voted To Approve. Motion Carried.

4. The Next Item Discussion, With Possible Action, Regarding The Appointment Of A City Attorney. Mayor Arview Stated We Have A Letter Here From Our City Attorney, Kate Renik. With Her Resignation Letter As Of September 13th, 2024. I Entertain A Motion To Accept The Letter Of Resignation. Commissioner Warren Made A Motion For Approval, Seconded By Commissioner Stanley. Roll Call Vote: All Commissioners And Mayor Arview Voted To Approve. Motion Carried. Mayor Arview Stated We Need To Appoint A New Attorney I Recommend Jonathan Cantrell. Commissioner Stanley Made A Motion For Approval, Seconded By Commissioner Warren. Roll Call Vote: All Commissioners

And Mayor Arview Voted To Approve. Motion Carried.

5. The Next Item Was Public Comments: No Public Comments Were Made.

6. With No Further Business To Be Discussed, The Meeting Was Adjourned On A Motion By Commissioner Harkins At 10:03 A.M.
