E-LEARNING HEARING
CALL TO ORDER
The E-Learning Hearing was called to order in the Minooka Community High School – Administration Building by President Laura Hrechko at 6:10 p.m. A physical quorum was present with the following board members present: Terry Spivey, Mike Hoyt, Jim Grzetich and Bert Kooi. Additionally, present were John Troy, Dr. Phil Pakowski, Kristi Boe, Dr. Rob Schiffbauer and Michele Williamson.
PUBLIC COMMENTS
There were no comments from the audience.
DISCUSSION
The E-Learning Plan was provided in the board packet for review. Dr. Pakowski reported that public notice of the meeting was published in the newspapers on August 27, 2025. In addition, communication to staff and parents/guardians regarding the hearing went out on September 2, 2025. Dr. Phil Pakowski presented the updated E-Learning plan which included changes to software that is no longer used and adjusted the schedule to match what is in the MEA Memorandum of Understanding. Pending approval, the plan will be shared with Grundy County Regional Office of Education and the Illinois State Board of Education and the plan would be in effect for a 3-year period. There was discussion on internet availability to students and Dr. Schiffbauer added there are various hotspots available throughout the district. There were no concerns for approval and adoption at the regular board meeting.

MOTION: by Grzetich, seconded by Hoyt, to adjourn the hearing. Voting Aye: Shepard, Spivey, Hoyt, Juskiewicz and Brozovich. Motion carried. Time: 6:13 p.m.
