Analysis: Opdyke pays $5.23 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Jefferson Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 84 percent of the $122,109 the Jefferson Fpd Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $5.23 for every $1 from pension members, according to a North Egypt News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Opdyke contributed $102,532 to the fund, which saw a $4,125 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $19,577, or 16 percent, in 2016.
