Report: Zeigler-Royalton spent $11,086 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Zeigler-Royalton Community Unit School District 188 is up 7 percent from five years ago, according to a North Egypt News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Franklin County school district spent $10,333 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $11,086 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 620 to 598.

Zeigler-Royalton's spending in 2016-17 was 15 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
