Cost of college went down for all students at Morthland College

Tuition and fees fell 59.4 percent for 2017-18 at Morthland College, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $6,000 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year $8,780 less than the $14,780 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 93 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 51 students received grants or scholarships totaling $272,014 and 49 students took out student loans totaling more than $322,097.

Including all undergraduates, 92 students used grants or scholarships totaling $1.69 million. Another 89 took out $949,126 in federal student loans.
