How much has Rome CCSD 2 overspent over the past 10 years?

Rome Community Consolidated School District 2 accumulated $1.02 million in debt between fiscal years 2008 and 2017, according to a North Egypt News analysis of public schools data.

Spending and revenue data obtained for this analysis comes from the Illinois Local Education Agency Retrieval Network (ILEARN), which is part of the Illinois State Board of Education and collects data annually on school district financials.

Over the 10-year span, Rome CCSD 2 reported 1.9 percent less revenue. At the same time, total spending went up 23.6 percent.
