According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 129 students during the year. That equates to 10.8 percent of the 1,197 students enrolled.
Of the 24 in-school suspensions, all of whom were high schoolers.
The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for tobacco. The category includes 20 incidents. There were four incidents of violence without physical injury. For 22 incidents, students were suspended for a day or less.
Of the 105 out-of-school suspensions, 72 were given to boys and 33 were given to girls, all of whom were high schoolers.
The district reported that most out-of-school suspensions were given for violence without physical injury. The category includes 76 incidents. There were 12 incidents of violence that caused physical injury. For 66 incidents, students were suspended for 3-5 days.
