Zeigler-Royalton Community Unit School District 188 students suspended 6 times in a single school year

Zeigler-Royalton Community Unit School District 188 reported six suspensions for 2016-17, according to the latest student discipline report by the Illinois State Board of Education.

According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 6 students during the year. That equates to 1 percent of the 598 students enrolled.

The district reported that most out-of-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes five incidents. There were one incidents of violence without physical injury. For five incidents, students were suspended for 3-5 days.
