City of Mt. Vernon issued the following announcement on Oct. 1.
A public hearing will be held tonight at 6:30 prior to the regularly scheduled city council meeting. Crosswalk Community Action Group will be present to discuss the latest housing rehabilitation grant they will apply for on behalf of the city. The grant is not limited to a specific area this year and will be available city-wide if awarded. Please come to the Roland Lewis community building at Veterans Park for details and eligibility requirements.
