Chris Hayes called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. No quorum was established. The Public Hearing on the Proposed Budget was rescheduled for Monday, September 24th at 6:45 PM with the regular Board of Education meeting to follow at 7:00 PM.

Chris Hayes called the meeting to order at 6:45 PM. A quorum was established.
Superintendent Gina Ilbery summarized the 2018-2019 Proposed Budget. The proposed budget has positive funds in all categories. There was no public comment.
Chester Connaway made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Jeff Staley seconded the motion.

Chris Hayes called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. A quorum was established.
Emery made the motion to approve the consent agenda which included the minutes of the previous meeting, financial report, treasurer’s monthly report and bills totaling $201,243.97.
Staley seconded the motion.
Voting for the motion: Connaway, Emery, Hayes, and Staley Voting against the motion: None

Principal Wayne Stone discussed the building including an issue with an odor in the kitchen, water coming in under the door east of the administrative office, and mowing of the school property.
Principal Wayne Stone also discussed fire drills, tornado drills, intruder drills, and evacuation drills that have been scheduled for the last week in September and the first week of October.
Principal Wayne Stone reported two new school buses are now scheduled to be delivered the first week of October.
No board action was taken on the reports.
Staley made a motion to approve the Proposed 2018-2019 Budget. Emery seconded the motion.

Motion Passed
The Annual Financial Audit Report was not available for approval at this time. No board action was taken.
The Application for Recognition was not available from the state at this time. No board action was taken.
Staley made a motion to accept the Prevailing Wage Certificate and Ordinance. Emery seconded he motion.
The motion passed without opposition.
Superintendent Gina Ilbery presented the School Nutrition Report. Field School was found to be in compliance and no board action was necessary.
The School Report Card was not available at this time. PARCC scores were discussed. No board action was taken.
Connaway made a motion to go into closed session to discuss information regarding appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees. Emery seconded the motion and the board went to executive session at 7:15.
Staley made a motion to go into open session. Emery seconded the motion and open session resumed at 7:33.
Emery made the motion to regretfully accept the resignation of Wayne Stone as Athletic Director. Staley seconded the motion.
The motion passed without opposition.
Emery made the motion to hire Gerald Miller as Athletic Director for the remainder of the school year and that the Athletic Director positon will be reevaluated at that time. Staley seconded the motion.

The Superintendent, Principal, and Members of the School Board agreed the area leading to and around the lagoon must be mowed as soon as possible.

Connaway made the motion to adjourn. Seconded by Emery. The meeting adjourned at 7:37 with no opposition.
