City of Mt. Vernon issued the following announcement on Oct. 21.
Weather permitting, a contractor for the City of Mt. Vernon will begin installing a new concrete road patch on North Davidson Avenue, approximately 500 feet north of Broadway (Rt. 15) on Monday, October 22, 2018. This pavement section will be closed to all traffic from October 22nd to October 29th. Please follow detours that will be set up to direct traffic to businesses north of Davidson and along Lake Terrace NE. Please not that the Pilot Truckstop will have access off of Davidson for traffic heading north of Route 15. All other businesses north of Pilot will need to follow the marked detour route. We apologize for this inconvenience. If you have any questions, please contact the Public Works department at 242-6853.
