SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital - Mt. Vernon issued the following announcement on Nov. 7.
Throughout the year employees are nominated for a Values-In-Action Award by their coworkers. The Values-In-Action award is given to an employee who exemplifies the mission and values of SSM Health.
Today we would like to say congratulations to Norman Richter on his award! Below is what his nomination read:
"Norman's mother recently passed away. While making difficult estate decisions, Norm was asked if he would like to keep his mother's car. He indicated that he would only take it if he could donate or gift it to someone who it could really help. Norm followed through on his promise and donated his mother's car to a fellow employee who was experiencing car trouble on a routine basis. Norman's generosity and compassion has made a significant difference in the life of a coworker and their family. Thank you Norm, we are all proud to have the opportunity to work with you!"
