Akin Community Consolidated School District 91 Board met Dec. 18.

1. CALL TO ORDER:
Present: K. Pemberton, S.Wilson, D. Shelton, D. Clark, J. Wilkerson, S. Sniderwin and J. Carlton.
3. Audience Participation: (limited to 10 minutes total unless extended by the board).
Attendees included: H. Barclay and K. Hermann
4. A motion is hereby made by K. Pemberton to enter into closed session for the purpose of considering information regarding the appointment, evaluation, performance, employment and/or dismissal of personnel and student disciplinary actions.
Seconded by J. Carlton.

K. Pemberton, S.Wilson, D. Shelton, D. Clark, J. Wilkerson, S. Sniderwin and J. Carlton.
Closed Session began at 6:01 p.m.
A Motion is made by J. Carlton to end closed session at 6:27 p.m.
Seconded by S. Sniderwin.
5.* A motion is made by S. Sniderwin to approve a Consent Agenda; which includes: the regular board of education minutes from previous meeting/s, the treasurer’s report/activity fund report and to approve the bills to be paid as presented.
This motion is seconded by S. Wilson.

7. NEW BUSINESS
a. 7.a Motion is made by: S. Sniderwin and seconded by D. Shelton to Adopt the Franklin/Hamilton County Tax Levy for 2018. Hearing can now be done as part of a regular meeting.
b. A motion is made S.Wilson to approve 10 year HLS survey and seconded by K. Pemberton.

b. Motion is made by: S. Wilson and seconded by J.Carlton to accept Mrs. Williford’s resignation as volleyball coach.

Tabled motion to hire RtI, volleyball coach and part-time janitor.
8. Superintendent/Principal’s reports
a. Will plan an “Active Shooter Drill” in January 2019.
9. Other Board Items: Discussed gym flooring and gym ceiling.
10. Upcoming Events: Christmas Program
January 3, 2019 – teacher in-service
January 4, 2019 – students return
11. A motion is hereby made by K. Pemberton and seconded by J. Wilkerson to adjourn the regular meeting of the Akin board of education at 6:38. (am/ pm). The next meeting will be held on December 20, 2018 at 7:00 p.m.
