The Jefferson County Board held the Organizational Meeting on Monday, December 3, 2018, in the Jefferson County Board Room, located on the lower level of the County Courthouse.
County Clerk Connie Simmons called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.
Newly elected and re-elected County Board Members were sworn in by County Clerk Simmons:
District 1 - Steve Draege
District 6 - Jeff L. Williams
District 7 - Jeffrey Nowland
District 8 - Clifford E. Lindemann
District 10 - Jere Shaw
District 11 - Joyce Damron
County Clerk Simmons called the roll:
Board Members present: Steve Draege, Sean Wilkey, Joey McDermott, Tim Marlow, Randy Edwards, Jeff Williams, Jeffrey Nowland, Cliff Lindemann, Adam Ortgiesen, Jere Shaw, Joyce Damron, Wayne Hicks, James Malone (13)
Motion by Draege seconded by Williams to nominate Cliff Lindemann as County Board Chairman.
Call for nominations two more times. No other nominations.
Cliff Lindemann elected County Board Chairman.
Clerk Simmons turned the meeting over to Chairman Lindemann.
Motion by Williams seconded by Ortgiesen to nominate Randy Edwards as Vice Chairman of the County Board.
Call for nominations two more times. No other nominations.
Randy Edwards elected Vice Chairman.
Chairman Lindemann announced Committee of the Whole meetings will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018, and the Full Board will meet on Thursday, December 27, 2018, due to the Christmas holidays.
Motion by Hicks seconded by Williams to adjourn at 9:03 a.m.
Voice vote. Motion carried. (13 aye - 0 nay - 0 abstain)
