Report: Thompsonville spent $8,560 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Thompsonville Community Unit School District 174 is down 0.8 percent from five years ago, according to a North Egypt News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Franklin County school district spent $8,626 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,560 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 363 to 336.

Thompsonville's spending in 2017-18 was 35.8 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
