Report: Opdyke Belle Rive spent $11,037 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Opdyke Belle Rive Community Consolidated School District 5 is up 20.6 percent from five years ago, according to a North Egypt News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Jefferson County school district spent $9,149 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $11,037 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 208 to 155.

Opdyke Belle Rive's spending in 2017-18 was 17.2 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
