Report: Zeigler-Royalton spent $10,238 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Zeigler-Royalton Community Unit School District 188 is down 4.1 percent from five years ago, according to a North Egypt News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Franklin County school district spent $10,679 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $10,238 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 642 to 605.

Zeigler-Royalton's spending in 2017-18 was 23.2 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
