City of Mt. Vernon issued the following announcement on May 23.
The City of Mt. Vernon is announcing that we are reaching a critical time regarding the serious water leak. The leak still has not been found and we are asking residents to restrict water use.
The City Council will be meeting at 4:00 p.m. at the Public Works Building, 1201 Casey, to declare an emergency.
