City of Mt. Vernon issued the following announcement on May 27.
The boil order for the City of Mt Vernon has been lifted. All businesses and residents within the City may resume normal water usage.
The operators of the outlying communities have been notified that the City has lifted the Mt. Vernon boil order and it is up to those operators to decide and announce when their boil water order is lifted.
