Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Franklin County?

There were 13 offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Franklin County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by North Egypt News.

The data shows that seven men and six women were released in Franklin County. The median age of the parolees was 34. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2018, and the oldest was a 51-year-old man sentenced for a financial crime or fraud in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Travis L. Darnell. He was convicted of homicide in 2010 when he was 26 years old. He is now 35.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter in each Franklin County municipality.
