City of Mt. Vernon issued the following announcement on June 13.
The Mt. Vernon Fire Department will conclude fire hydrant testing for the year (weather permitting) on Monday, June 17.
The areas to be tested are:
South of Veterans Memorial Drive, from Juniper Drive to North Triton Lane
North of I-64, between Rte 37 and Lincoln Park
Residents are cautioned that testing can cause discoloration in the water supply in the area being tested.
