Waltonville Community Unit School District 1 Board of Education met May 23.

Regular Board Meeting called to order at 6:30 P.M.

Present: Banach, Devor, Eastham, Frick, and Norris.

Motion by Norris, Seconded by Banach, to approve the minutes of the April 25th, 2019, Regular Board Meeting. Yea: Banach, Devor, Eastham, Frick, and Norris. Nay: None. Motion Carried.

Motion by Eastham, Seconded by Devor, to approve the bills and Treasurer's report with additional bills totaling $15,347.72. Yea: Banach, Devor, Eastham, Frick, and Norris. Nay: None. Motion Carried.

Solar Project Discussed. No action taken.

Motion by Devor, Seconded by Norris, to approve Grade School Handbook Revisions for 2019-2020. Yea: Banach, Devor, Eastham, Frick, and Norris. Nay: None. Motion Carried.

Motion by Devor, Seconded by Norris, to approve 15 sets of uniforms for Grade School Girls Basketball for $2400. Yea: Banach, Devor, Eastham, Frick, and Norris. Nay: None. Motion Carried.

Motion by Norris, Seconded by Devor, to approve 15 sets of uniforms for Grade School Boys Baseball for $1125. Yea: Banach, Devor, Eastham, Frick, and Norris. Nay: None. Motion Carried.

Motion by Eastham. Seconded by Banach, to purchase 5 loads of top soil for the High School Baseball field for $3250. Yea: Banach, Devor, Eastham, Frick, and Norris. Nay: None. Motion Carried.

Motion by Eastham, Seconded by Norris, to hire Carrie Haley for High School Girls Golf Coach for the 2019 2020 school year. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, and Norris. Nay: Devor. Motion Carried.

Anderson arrived at 8:10 P.M.

Motion by Devor, Seconded by Banach, to hire Anthony Lowery as High School Cross Country Coach at $1000 salary for the 2019-2020 school year. Yea: Anderson, Banach, Devor, Eastham, Frick, and Norris. Nay: None. Motion Carried.

Motion by Norris, Seconded by Anderson, to approve High School Softball summer league for $500. Yea: Anderson, Devor, Eastham, Frick, and Norris. Nay: Banach. Motion Carried.

Motion by Eastham, Seconded by Norris, to approve Grade School Boys Basketball summer program for $150. Yea: Anderson, Banach, Devor, Eastham, Frick, and Norris. Nay: None. Motion Carried.

Motion by Devor, Seconded by Banach, to approve summer shootouts for High School Boys Basketball not to exceed $500. Yea: Anderson, Banach, Devor, Eastham, Frick, and Norris. Nay: None. Motion Carried.

Motion by Banach, Seconded by Anderson, to go into closed session at 8:41 P.M for the purpose of discussing the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees, collective bargaining, and student discipline.
