Thompsonville Community Unit School District 174 Board of Education met July 24.

ROLL CALL
President Kevin Smith called the Board of Education of Thompsonville C.U.S.D. #174 to order for a Special meeting at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2019. Other members present were: Andrew Cooksey, Krista Shelby, Mickey Miller, Natalie Dixon, Melissa Hargett and Ryan Darnell.
Also present at the meeting were: Superintendent Brock Harris, Jamie Chiaventone and Treasurer Kelly Darnell.
APPROVE CHANGES TO HANDBOOK
The motion was made by Natalie Dixon and second by Andrew Cooksey to accept the changes to the Student Handbook as presented. Voting was as follows: Cooksey, yea; Shelby, nay; Miller, nay; Dixon, yea; Darnell, yea; Hargett, yea; Smith, yea. The motion carried 5-2.
EMPLOY HS AG TEACHER
The motion was made by Melissa Hargett and second by Ryan Darnell to employ Noah Jones as HS Ag Teacher. The motion carried 7-0.
OTHER BUSINESS
1.Mr. Harris will post for a full time nurse as well as PE and Coaching vacancies.
ADJOURN
The motion was made by Melissa Hargett to adjourn the meeting at 8:19 p.m.
