City of Mt. Vernon issued the following announcement on Sept. 13.
The City of Mt. Vernon has two openings for temporary (approximately 2 months), full-time Nuisance Code Enforcement Workers. The position requires a valid Class D Driver’s License. Applicants must be able to pass basic reading, and math test. High School diploma or its equivalency is preferred. Candidates with the ability to mow with a Zero-turn Mower, use weed eater, and clean-up are required. $11.00 per hour with no benefits. Applicants are subject to background checks and medical assessments, including drug screen. EOE/ADA employer.
