SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital - Mt. Vernon issued the following announcement on Nov. 27.
The Marion County Coalition Against Drug Use will host a community event on December 3rd from 5 until 7 PM at the Salem Community Theater. This event will be packed with information geared toward parents, guardians, and educators regarding the upcoming legalization of marijuana in Illinois.
Speakers will begin at 5:30 and will include local law enforcement, an area judge, individuals in recovery, an addiction counselor, and a brief presentation on the history and scientific facts surrounding marijuana through the years.
