Franklin County Board Thursday, Sept. 26.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

Call to Order

The September 26, 2019, Special Meeting of the Franklin County Board was called to order at 3:00 PM, in the County Board Room in the Campbell Building, 901 Public Square, Benton, Illinois by Chairman Randall Crocker.

Roll Call

Secretary, Greg Woolard, called the roll. Members in attendance were Randall Crocker, John Gulley, Stephen Leek, Larry Miller, Ray Minor, Alan Price, Jack Warren, and Kevin Weston. Neil Hargis was absent.

Also attendances were Gayla Prather, Administrative Assistant to the County Board; Mike Rolla, County Engineer; Drew Kelly, KAC Architecture & Consulting LLC; and other interest parties.

Award Contract for Renovation of The Reminder of the Campbell Building

Chairman Randall Crocker informed the county Board that the purpose of this meeting is to award contract to bidder on the renovation of the remainder of the Campbell Building and he asked Drew Kelly, KAC Architecture & Consulting LLC to explain the bid sheet. Drew Kelly went through all the bids which were Fager-McGee Commercial Construction Inc from Murphysboro and River City Construction LLC from Benton. Drew Kelly stated that River City Construction LLC was awarded the bid with a bid of $1,415,000.00 with a completion date around December 20, 2019. And presented a contract / agreement between River City Construction LLC and the Franklin County Board along with their performance bond and certificate of liability insurance.

Stephen Leek made a motion to approve the River City Construction LLC bid as presented. John Gulley seconded the motion. On roll call vote, all voted yes.

Said bid sheet, a contract / agreement, performance bond and certificate of liability insurance are made a part of these minutes and the agreement is known as Agreement No. 2019-12.

Adjournment

Chairman Randall Crocker asked the Board if there were any questions. Larry Miller made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Jack Warren seconded the motion. There being no further business Chairman Randall Crocker declared the meeting adjourned.
