Jefferson County Land, Tax, and Appointments Committee met Nov. 21.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

Committee Members Present: Jeff Williams, Chairman, Randy Edwards, Sean Wilkey & Tim Marlow

Absent: Michael Young

Others Present: Cliff Lindemann, Adam Ortgiesen, Wayne Hicks, James Malone, Steve Draege, Bob Watt, Lamczyk Animal Clinic & Suzy Tate

No one was present for public input.

Motion by Tim Marlow and seconded by Randy Edwards to recommend to the Chairman of the Full Board to reappoint Lamczyk Veterinary Clinic as Jefferson County Animal Control Administrator. Motion Carried. Vote - 4 aye, 0 nay

Motion by Randy Edwards and seconded by Sean Wilkey to recommend to the Chairman of the Full Board to appoint Carey Lipps to the Mt. Vernon Airport Authority to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Eddie Lee, Motion Carried. Vote - 4 aye, 0 nay

Motion by Randy Edwards to recommend to the Chairman of the Full Board to

appoint Rodney Elliott to the South Central Mass Transit District. Motion Failed due to the lack of a second. Motion by Sean Wilkey and seconded by Tim Marlow to recommend to the Chairman of the Full Board to reappoint Don Copeland to the South Central Mass Transit District. Motion Carried. Vote - 3 aye, 1 nay

The appointment to the Southeastern Illinois Economic Development Authority will be handled at the Full Board Meeting if more information is received.

Motion by Randy Edwards and seconded by Sean Wilkey to adjourn. Motion Carried. Vote - 4 aye, 0 nay
