Ewing Township issued the following announcement on Dec. 27.
Townships have until Jan. 10, 2020, to apply for matching state funds for absentee voting counting board tabulators available on a first-come, first-served basis. Cost-share rates will be 50 percent of the tabulator cost with the applicant responsible for 50 percent as well as any additional components (including maintenance).
Applicants must agree to use a permanent absent voter application list, as well as using absentee voter counting boards for all even-year primary and general elections.
Jurisdictions that have already purchased a tabulator in 2019 may apply for reimbursement consideration. Those wishing to purchase a second tabulator may apply as well; however, highest priority will be given to those local units purchasing an initial tabulator. High-speed tabulators are not eligible.
