Frankfort Community Unit School District 168 Board issued the following announcement on Feb. 24.
Frankfort CUSD #168 Administrators received a report of a bed bug being found at Frankfort Community High School. The families directly affected are being informed and pest control assistance is being provided. In addition, areas at the school that may be affected are being inspected and treated by a licensed pest control provider following the established protocols.
The District continues to join the ranks of many public facilities across the area in addressing pest control needs as bed bugs have become more of an issue. It will continue to provide its staff with information about bed bugs and how they are best identified and treated as we continue to monitor the situation.
