Regular Board meeting called to order at 6:30 P.M. Present: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Walker. Absent: Anderson & Devor.
Motion by Walker, Seconded by Eastham, to approve the minutes of the December 19, 2019, Regular Board Meeting. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Walker. Nay: None. Motion Carried.
Motion by Walker, Seconded by Banach, to approve the closed session minutes for December 19, 2019. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Walker. Nay: None. Motion Carried.
Motion by Walker, Seconded by Eastham, to approve the bills and Treasurer's report including additional bills totaling $8694.64. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Walker. Nay: None. Motion Carried.
Update from Mrs. Brink regarding Grade School Roof Repair claim.
Motion by Walker, Seconded by Eastham, to approve refinishing the Grade School gym for $9,290.00(including sanding to the bare wood, cleaning, and applying 2 coats of polyurethane sealer) & the High School gym floor for $1,180.00(including adding one coat of finish). Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Walker. Nay: None. Motion Carried.
Motion by Eastham, Seconded by Walker, to approve Arthur Hayhurst from FGM Architects as architect for Waltonville Community Unit School District. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Walker. Nay: None. Motion Carried.
Motion by Walker, Seconded by Eastham, to approve Mrs. Brink to move forward obtaining bids for the Grade School roof project, pending grant approval from the state, this is the 50/50 maintenance grant. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Walker. Nay: None. Motion Carried.
Motion by Banach, Seconded by Walker, to go into closed session at 7:12 P.M for the purpose of discussing the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees, collective bargaining, and student discipline. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Walker. Nay: None. Motion Carried.
Anderson arrived at 7:17 P.M.
Motion by Andreson, Seconded by Walker, to come out of closed session at 8:25 P.M. Yea: Anderson, Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Walker. Nay: None. Motion Carried.
Motion by Anderson, Seconded by Walker, to approve Dillon Banach and Asa Newell as summer custodial staff. Yea: Anderson, Eastham, Frick, Norris, and Walker. Abstain: Banach. Nay: None. Motion Carried.
