Woodlawn Fire Protection District responded to 37 calls in 2018 - 12.1 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Woodlawn included 20 fires - seven structure fires, four vehicle fires and nine other fires.

In all, the department saw $10,200 in fire loss - or about $510 per fire.

The department also received 17 false calls.

The Woodlawn Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $61,950 in 2017.
