Valier Fire District responded to 14 calls in 2018 - 100 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Valier included 14 fires - eight structure fires and six other fires.

In all, the department saw $1,000 in fire loss - or about $71 per fire.
