Royalton Volunteer Fire Department responded to 10 calls in 2018 - 150 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Royalton included 10 fires - six structure fires and four other fires.

In all, the department saw $15,000 in fire loss - or about $1,500 per fire.
