City of Benton Zoning and Planning Commission met Sept. 2.

The Benton Zoning and Planning Commission's public hearing was called to order by Chairman Shockley at 6:00 pm, at 1403 at the Benton Municipal Building at 1403 South Main Street.
Roll Call: Shockley, McGuire, Cockrum, Collier
Also Present: David Garavalia, Zoning Administrator; Members of the public
The advisory board took into evidence and consideration of an amendment to change ACTIVITY/USE from Variety or 10 cents to Variety or Discount Retailer and allow the permitted use in Zoning Districts B-1, B-2, B-3, B-5 and B-6
Zoning Administrator Garavalia stated that the change in language to remove "Variety or 10-Cent Store" and replace with "Variety or Discount Retailer" as a cosmetic change to the ordinance.
Having no further business the meeting was adjourned at 6:10 p.m.
