City of Mt. Vernon issued the following announcement on Dec. 4.
Works at City Hall in the City Clerk’s Office. Must be highly skilled in clerical, secretarial, computer, and public relations responsibilities. Confidentiality is required. Must be able to use independent judgment, work efficiently with minimal supervision, and use discretion in implementing assignments as well as responding to requests for information. Experience supervising personnel and handling cash preferred. Residency within Jefferson County, Illinois. Required to pass basic education test and background/credit checks. EEO/ADA employer.
