City of Mt. Vernon City Council met April 19.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

5. Presentation of Journals for the April 5, 2021 Regular City Council Meeting and the April 8, 2021 City Council Budget Workshop. 

6. Visitors/Citizen Request/Addresses from the Audience. 

Public Forum Rules of Participation Participants wishing to address the City Council on matters listed on the agenda or on any other matter directly relevant to the business of the City of Mt. Vernon shall do so during the Public Participation portion of the agenda. Each person wishing to speak during the Public Participation portion shall sign a Speaker's List at the meeting prior to the start of the meeting providing his/her name and the topic to be discussed. Speakers will be recognized by the Mayor in the order the speaker's name appears on the Speaker's List. Public participation portion of the meeting shall be limited to five (5) minutes per person. All participants are expected to exercise common courtesy and follow any rules of order established or announced by the Mayor and/or City Council.

10-A Ordinance approving rezoning of properties on White Oak (vacant lot) PIN 11-08-126-015 & -017 from B-2, Secondary Business District, to I-2, General Industrial for the purpose of constructing an industrial business Requesting Party: Storey Investments, LLC 

10-B Ordinance approving rezoning of a portion of the property located at 500 Gee Street from F-P, Flood Plain, to I-1, Light Industrial for a section of the parcel in which the building is situated. Requesting Party: Mary Ellen Bechtel 

10-C Ordinance approving rezoning of property on Dogwood Drive (vacant lot) PIN 11-05-327-018 from B-2, Secondary Business to I-1, Light Industrial for the purpose of business development Requesting Party: Schulte Investment Property

10-J Resolution approving an agreement with Farnsworth Group, Inc. regarding architectural services for the new police facility

11-A Appointment of Paula Dodillet to the Fire and Police Commission to begin  serving on May 1, 2021 Reappointment of Lance Cusumano and Clarence Mays to the Fire and Police Commission
