2020 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Franklin County?

There were 95 offenders released on parole during 2020 that live in Franklin County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by North Egypt News.

The data shows 66 men and 29 women were released in Franklin County. Of the parolees, three were veterans, and the median age was 38. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man convicted of a crime against a person in 2019, and the oldest was a 63-year-old man convicted of a sex crime in 2015.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Randy C. Flood. He was convicted of homicide in 2000 when he was 31 years old. He is now 53.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in 2020 in each Franklin County municipality.
