Warriors compete at SIC in first-ever Collegiate 3D State Championship event

Rend Lake College Athletics issued the following announcement on Sept. 2

The Rend Lake Warriors archery team participated Wednesday at the SIC Archery in Harrisburg. The shoot was the first of three for the first-ever Collegiate 3D Championship title.

Freshman archer Bryce Bieber (Tower Hill) earned the top score for Rend Lake in the compound men’s category with a 218. Sophomore Ezekiel Scott (Dahlgren) received 211. Both Bieber and Scott also hit nine 12’s in the competition.

In the bowhunter men’s category, freshmen Tanner Clark (Orient) and Kye Garver (Buckner) each scored a 192. Clark hit five 12’s while Garner knocked in three.

Other scores included freshman Adrian Ratajczyk (Christopher) with a 178, sophomore Rylee Wilson (West Frankfort) with a 171 and freshman TJ Willis (Orient) with a 163.

In other events, freshman Grace Schnitkey (Thompsonville) scored a 94 in the barebow women’s competition.

The winners for the event will be announced after the Sept. 17 shoot.
