Q1 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Franklin County?

There were 14 offenders living in Franklin County released on parole during the first quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by North Egypt News.

The data shows 12 men and two women were released in Franklin County. The median age of the parolees was 33. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2020, and the oldest was a 43-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2018.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Monte H. Johnson. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2017 when he was 33 years old. He is now 38.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter of 2021 in each Franklin County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
