McClellan Community Consolidated School District 12 Board met Oct. 19.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

I. Call to Order- 6:00

II. Roll Call of Members Present- Joe Brown, Dottie Johnson, Eric Shelton, and Eddie Vaughn. Ian Cooper, Justin Haney, and Jamie McGehee were absent.

III. Recognition of Visitors- Brittany Short and Jessica Stout

IV. Reports to the Board

A. The new kitchen door is installed that we used to COPS Grant money for.

B. Do to the rain, PTO had a pizza party in the gym instead of outside bonfire. They had a good turnout.

C. Students of the Month

D. November 9th is the Student of the Month lunch at Pizza Hut.

V. Approve Consent Agenda Items

A. Review and accept the Consent Agenda Items. Motion by Dottie Johnson and second by Eddie Vaughn. Motion carried.

VI. Discussion Items

A. November 17th at 6:00pm has been decided for the meeting with Bethel. November 30th for backup if the 17th doesn’t work for them.

B. Cindy Bobel has requested an extension on the Audit.

VII. Action Items

A. Motion by Dottie Johnson and second by Joe Brown on the gym usage and deposit. Asking $100 deposit with $50 usage and $50 returned back after cleanup. Motion carried.

B. Motion by Eddie Vaughn and second by Dottie Johnson to go forward with the Air cleaners/Scrubbers for the classrooms. Motion carried.

C. Motion by Joe Brown and second by Eric Shelton to approve the proposal to repair the septic system. Motion carried.

D. Motion by Dottie Johnson and second by Joe Brown to approve to hire Ashley Cox as an Individual Aide. Motion carried.

VIII. Motion for Adjournment

A. Motion by Eric Shelton and second by Eddie Vaughn to adjourn at 6:44pm. Motion carried.
