COE Earns Second Player of the Week Honor of Season

Mount Vernon Township High School District 201 issued the following announcement on Dec. 20

For the second time this season, Maggie Coe of the No.24 Mount Vernon Nazarene University women's basketball team (10-4, 4-0) has been named as the Women's Basketball Crossroads League Player of the Week.

Coe had a big trip out west for MVNU in the team's games in Portland, Oregon. Coe lit up the west coast with averages of 20 points and four assists, while shooting 45.2% from the field and 35% from deep. Coe also chipped in with 1.5 rebounds and one steal in her games at Warner Pacific College and Multnomah University.

This marks the fourth time already this season that a member of the MVNU women's basketball team has been named as the Player of the Week by the Crossroads League.
