Report: Frankfort School District spent $11,576 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Frankfort Community Unit School District 168 was up 21.2 percent from five years ago, according to the North Egypt News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Franklin County school district spent $9,551 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,576 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,831 to 1,642 students over the same period.

Frankfort's spending in 2019-20 was 20.1 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
