Village of Dix Village Board met Dec. 14.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Dix Village Board met in regular scheduled session at the Dix Village Hall. Village President, Kurt Karcher, called the meeting to order at 7:00pm.

Roll Call:

Trustees Present: Judy Bronson, Whitney Lipps, Tiffany Gentles

Trustees Absent: Paul Ayers, Sean Wilkey

Officers Present: Village President - Kurt Karcher, Village Treasurer - Sharon Bean

Officers Absent: Village Clerk - Brandy Mount

A motion was made to approve the minutes from November 9th, 2021, regular board meeting by Judy Bronson. A second to motion was made by Whitney Lipps.

Motion Carried 3-0

A motion was made to approve the minutes from the November 23, 2021, special board meeting minutes with minor change to item #4 by Whitney Lipps. A second to motion was made by Judy Bronson.

Motion Carried 3-0

Treasurer Report: A motion to accept the Treasurer's Report was made by Judy Bronson. A second to motion was made by Whitney Lipps.

Motion Carried 3-0

Payment of bills: A motion to approve payment of the bills was made by Judy Bronson. A second to the motion was made by Whitney Lipps.

Motion Carried 3-0

Building and Grounds Committee: 5 rentals in November, 4 for December 2021. 3 cancellations. Cody cleaned parking lot, lock and & light. He made account at Menards and purchased salt for the sidewalks, 2 coffee pots were purchased at Dollar General.

Street and Alley Committee: Looking at streets - possibly need patches on E. Lincoln corner of Rt 37. Waiting on word from state on the radar sign installation.

Police Commission Committee: Received December hours.

Recognition and Comments from the Public:

Shirley Wilson: sidewalk of Marshall St is in need of repair.

Nana K: asked if it had ever been mentioned to widen North St. This has been discussed, but the work involved would be massive. Currently not in our immediate plans for updates.

Business Items:

Item #1: Discussion with Round Table Design regarding Meadow Lane project

Round table designed explained report, which we had commissioned regarding complaints of drainage problems within the Meadow Lane subdivision.

They recommend to reshaped the south and north ditches and clean out the drainage structures.

A motion was made by Judy Bronson to table the discussion of Meadow Lane project until next January 2022 meeting. A second to the motion was made Whitney Lipps,

• Item #2: Approval of Proposed Subdivision on Duncan Lane

Land owner wants to sell the land to the pool company but keep cell towers located on the property. Subdivision must be approved by the Village Board in order to accomplish this. New easements have been laid out for the subdivided areas.

A motion to the Approval of Proposed Subdivision on Duncan Lane was made by Judy Bronson. A second to the motion was made by Whitney Lipps.

Motion Carried: 3-0

Item #3: Set Date, Time, and Location for Village Board Meetings for Next Calendar Year

A motion was made by Judy Bronson to approve setting the dates, time and location for the Village Board meetings for the 2022 calendar year as the second Tuesday of the month at 7pm with the exception of January and November moving to the second Wednesday of the month. A second to the motion was made by Whitney Lipps.

Motion Carried: 3-0

Item #4: Approve Community Center Painting Project

Motion was made by Tiffany Gentles for Cody to paint the paneling in the community center white while center is not in use. A second to the motion was made by Judy Bronson.

Motion Carried: 3-0

Item #5: Approve Gift Card Purchase for Tri-County and Republic Services

Motion was made by Whitney Lipps to purchase 3 gifts cards at $35 a piece for Tri County Electric and 1 for Republic Services. A second to the motion was made by Tiffany Gentles.

Motion Carried: 3-0

Item #6: Approve Street and Alley Projects

Motion was made by Tiffany Gentles to table the Approval of Street and Alley Projects until January 2022 meeting. A second to the motion was made by Whitney Lipps.

Motion Tabled: 3-0
