The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's volleyball team (6-8, 3-6) fell to No.10 Lourdes University (9-2. 7-2) on the road in four hard-fought sets on Thursday, February 24.
After dropping set one 13-25, the Cougars came together and took the second set from the tenth-ranked team in the nation 26-24. However, Lourdes showed why it is one of the toughest match-ups in the country as it took the final two sets by scores of 25-19 and 25-16 to win the match.
Lourdes converted its hits into kills at a high-rate, finishing with a 41.7 hitting percentage on the day.
Inside the Box Score
Caden Donaldson led MVNU offensively with 15 kills on a match-high 38 attempts.
Riley Barretto was second on the team in kills with eight in the match.
Daniel Skrzypchak had a team-high 10 digs. Jordan Hoag followed with seven digs for MVNU.
Jaysen Matsumoto had 32 assists and six digs for the Cougars.

MVNU will next play on Saturday, February 26 at Lawrence Tech. First serve in Southfield, Michigan is set for 3:00pm.
