Rend Lake’s Dais’Ja Trotter can add one more accolade to her history-making season.
Trotter (Louisville, KY) has been selected as a Second Team All-American. The All-America teams are compiled by the NJCAA Division 1 Basketball Committee.
Trotter led the Lady Warriors all the way to the Midwest District Finals Championship. RLC posted one of its best records ever (23-7 and 11-2 in the GRAC).
Trotter also holds the record for most points scored in Lady Warriors history with 1,474 career points. She finished the season as the nation’s leading D-1 scorer, averaging 24.4 points per game. She was also ranked as the number one player in total points (733) and field goals (258/548).
Trotter was also previously named the Great River Athletic Conference and the NJCAA Region XXIV Player of the Year.
Trotter will continue her athletic career next year as a Bearcat for the University of Cincinnati women’s basketball team.
