City of Mason City Council met March 14.
Here are the minutes provided by the council:
Call to order by Mayor Pro Tem Scott Francis at approximately 6:00 P.M.
Council members physically present were Dan Mason, Gerald Mahin, Julie Mize, Kevin Snyder, Treasurer Mike Griffin along with clerk Michele Whitehead, Chief Donovan, Superintendent Dixon also attended the meeting.. Alderman Miller was absent.
Minutes, Treasurer’s report and bills were approved.
R22-22 Alderman Mason moved, seconded by Alderman Snyder to approve the minutes, treasurer’s report and bills.

Nays: None
Absent: Miller
Chairman declared motion carried.
Pay request #1 for Hoerr Construction for the CIPP sewer rehab in the amount of $308,050.25
R22-23 Alderman Mason moved, seconded by Alderman Snyder to approve pay request #1 in the amount of $308,050.25

Nays: None
Absent: Miller
Chairman declared motion carried.
Well #8 engineering contract with CMT was approved.

Pay request #24 for the CSO was approved in the amount of $209.03 to CMT.

The City ordinance pertaining to bidding and contract procedures needs to be reviewed and value limit needs to rise to the state statute amount. City Attorney Barr will review and write an updated version to be passed.
Superintendent Dixon has ordered rock and milling for alley repairs to begin once the weather and alley conditions are favorable.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 6:20 P.M.
