Rend Lake College will host the popular Illinois Regional College Fair (IRCF) on September 13 at the RLC Event Center. High school students, current community college students, and community members interested in higher education are invited to attend.
The IRCF is a free event sponsored by the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC) that begins at 9:30 a.m. and runs until 11:30 a.m. in the RLC Event Center. The morning will feature representatives from 41 institutions. Parents, students, and community members will have the chance to meet with college and university officials to learn more about them.
Vickie Schulte, Dean of Student Success and Development, said the event is open to high school students, RLC students intending to transfer, and anyone from the community who is interested.
Regardless of where a student is in their educational journey, the morning will be great for fact-gathering and planning for the future.
Some essential questions to remember while talking to officials are available majors at the institution, the admissions requirements and process, the campus setting, and the cost of attendance and financial aid availability.
Below are the colleges and universities confirmed for the fair at RLC, though more may be in attendance. Students may attend the event without a parent or guardian present.
