Community High School District 99 Board of Education met Sept. 12.

A. This is an opportunity for audience members to address the Board on any topic pertaining to Community High School District 99. Comments will be limited to three (3) minutes to provide all visitors an equal opportunity to address the Board. Individuals needing more time should submit their thoughts in writing to the Board’s secretary. Visitors addressing the Board need to submit a comment slip to the Board Secretary and will be invited to the microphone. Prior to addressing the Board audience members should state their full name. The proceedings may be tape recorded for the purpose of producing accurate meeting minutes. The Board’s presiding officer reserves the right to modify these protocols if circumstances warrant. Audience observation of these protocols is appreciated.
6. Closed Session
A. The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees, specific individuals who serve as independent contractors in a park, recreational, or educational setting, or specific volunteers of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee, a specific individual who serves as an independent contractor in a park, recreational, or educational setting, or a volunteer of the District or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(1).
B. Litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the District has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the District finds that an action is probable or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the minutes of the closed meeting. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11)
