Cairo School District Number 1 Board of Education met Oct. 11.

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

2. Public/Private Hearings or Petitions (Individuals May Address the Board at this Time)

3. Approval of Consent Agenda- Special Meeting

4. Informational

a. Discussion of After School Enrichment Program b. Discussion of Civil rights Museum Tour

5. Closed Session

(1) “Consider the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employee(s), specific individuals who serve as independent contractors, or specific volunteers of the a District or legal counsel for the District including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee, a specific individual who serves as an independent contractor, or a volunteer of the District or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity.”

(2) Collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees

5. Requiring Action/Decisions By Board of Education

(1) Action to approve the hiring Winter Sports Coaches. See Attached sheet

(2) Action to approve the appointment of a new board member to fill the vacant seat, pursuant to 105 ILCS 5/10-10.

(3) Action to approve the resignation of LaShauna Cornelius as the Parent Educator.

(4) Action to approve the resignation of Laura Schuch as the Speech and Language Pathologist District Wide.

(5) Action to Approve the After School Enrichment Program.

(6) Action to Approve the Civil Rights Museum Tour
