Jax completed the work on West St. Children are Playing have been ordered, and will ship on the 15th

Spoke to Spectrum, estimating completion at the middle of October. Spectrum will fix holes they made once all their work is complete.

Called State of Illinois on Rt 37, about pot holes however was told they are not big enough to work on yet.

Matt Renaud reported that checked the sidewalks. The corner of Marshal St. and Washington St. has uneven tiles, but not sure at this time what we can do with it. Worst sidewalk problem is west of Rome Grade School.

Police Commission Committee:

Sean Wilkey Reported: Received information that they worked 12hours, 19 stops and one criminal damage to property.

Community Organizer Report:

Rome is allowing parking at their place for the Trunk or Treat. We are setting up inside also, if people want to use the indoor space instead of their cars.

Recognition and Comments from the Public:

Nana K thanked the Village for cleaning up the yard across the street. Also brought up the ditch by the sidewalk by her house. W. North St. had to almost get into the ditch because of oncoming traffic. Wondering if we can widen the street sometime soon. Kurt stated we could probably look into that for late spring early summer next year.

Don: Thanked that Warren Way is in much better shape now.

Nick Dalton who lives at 851 W. Lincoln, driveway is too narrow backing it off the road. Asking to add width to the tile. Kurt explained that if the tile is already there, the home owner would need to cover the cost to extend.

Rome Meadows has a new manager, that is conflicted on who owns the property between Rome Meadows and the Dollar General as the grass is getting out of control in that section. Possibly Pro Max owns that area.
